About SuperCool™ St. John

SuperCool™ St. John is an enhanced St. John's Wort product, which is standardized by hyperforin content [U.S. Patent No. 6,291,241 B1, Castor et al., 2001]. Additionally, Aphios utilized its patented SuperFluids™ fractionation and manufacturing technologies to develop this product.
Woburn, Mass. July 13, 2004 Aphios Corporation today announced its launch of SuperCool™ St. John for feelings of well-being, relaxed outlook and positive mood.
SuperCool™ St. John is an advanced formulation of an enhanced hyperforin fraction of the flowers, buds and stems of St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum, SJW), a bushy perennial that blooms around St. John the Baptist day (June 24th). Aphios' SuperCool™ St. John product is standardized against hyperforins that show a linear dose response with serotonin reuptake inhibition [U.S. Patent No. 6,291,241B1, Castor et al., 2001]. Aphios' scientists and collaborators have shown that hyperforins are effective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SRIs).

The grant is entitled “Method for Making an Improved St. John’s Wort Product.” St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a bushy perennial with yellow flowers which blooms around St. John the Baptist's day (June 24th).
